We are looking for works that explore Islam, Muslim identity, narratives or experiences. We want works that put a lens to the lives of Muslims across the world.

We follow the Hijri Calendar for our submission timelines and are open a total of four months a year.
We are currently currently open for submission for our fourth issue. Send in your work. Happy writing!
Submission guidelines:
- Up to five poems, 3,000 words of prose (either CNF or short stories). Flash fictions and micro fictions are allowed. Please submit up to two flash fictions or 3-5 pieces of micro fiction.
- Attach all submissions to our Google form as a single word document in 12-point Garamond or Times New Roman.
- Prose (fiction and creative nonfiction) must be double spaced.
- Simultaneous submissions are allowed. Please email us immediately at imancollectivemag [at] gmail [dot] com if your work is accepted elsewhere.
- Multiple submissions are not allowed. Please submit once per issue and in only one genre.
- Include trigger or content warnings if needed.
- Please submit in English. Translations are not accepted at this time.
- If your work is accepted, please wait one issue before submitting again.
We aim to respond within three months. If you have not heard back from us within this time, please email us.
Rights & other info:
Submissions must have never appeared in another publication. Work might have been published on a blog or personal website, as long as it is taken down upon acceptance.
By submitting to Iman Collective, you are confirming that all of the enclosed work is original and belonging to you.
We acquire First Serial Rights to the works that we accept for publication. Upon acceptance, your piece may not appear anywhere else until we publish it—at which point the rights revert back to you, the contributor.
Please credit Iman Collective as first publisher when you republish work that originated with us. We also reserve the right to archive, reprint, and of course promote your writing.
We nominate works for the Pushcart Prize, Best of the Net, and Best Small Fiction anthologies.
